YouMind partners meeting held online

The YouMind (Youth Individual Sports Mindset) project continued its progress with a follow-up meeting on February 17th, after a successful meeting and online seminar last month.
This rapid follow-up meeting built upon the groundwork laid in the previous session, further solidifying plans for upcoming activities. Discussions again centered on key action points, including the realization and structure of upcoming workshops, the creation of a project video, and details surrounding individual workshops planned in each partner country.
A significant portion of the discussion revolved around the upcoming series of workshops. Partners explored the overall concept and structure, aiming to create engaging and impactful sessions that address the specific mental health needs of young athletes.
During the meeting, the partners from CUS Salerno, shared a presentation with proposed workshops structure as well as potential unified components across all partner countries.
The importance of fostering a safe and supportive environment within the workshops was emphasized, allowing participants to openly discuss their experiences and learn coping strategies. The partners also discussed how to tailor the workshops to the specific cultural contexts of each participating country, ensuring relevance and accessibility for all participants.
Beyond the workshops, the partners discussed the creation of a project video. The proposed concept of the video structure was presented by Nadica Sechkov Jovanovik, Engso-Youth Partnerships and projects manager. The video will aim to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in young athletes and showcase the work of the YouMind project, as well as to showcase the impact and importance of the realization of the workshops.
Finally, a more detailed idea of participating in the European Sport Platform and organising the final conference of the project within that event, was discussed. This presented an invaluable opportunity for the project partners to showcase their work, share best practices, and disseminate the project's findings to a broader community.
With concrete plans in place for the workshops, video creation, and potential conference participation, the project is poised to make a positive contribution to the mental health and well-being of young athletes across Europe.
The partners will continue to work closely together in the coming months to bring these plans to fruition and achieve the project's overall objectives.
YouMind (Youth Individual Sports Mindset) is a small-scale partnership project that aims to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in sport and to develop different strategies to prevent mental health issues for young athletes.
