The Organizing Committee of the Winter Universiade Trentino 2013 and the International University Sports Federation (FISU) are inviting all interested participants to join them at the Winter Universiade Conference 2013, organised by FISU and the University of Trento, hosted in Rovereto (Trentino, Italy) on December 9-10 in the context of the 26th Winter Universiade Trentino 2013.

The theme chosen by the University of Trento is “University Sport: Inspiring Innovation,” which is very symbolic for an international interdisciplinary conference organised in the context of a sports event gathering student-athletes.

Main Theme Innovation is a key concept of the international interdisciplinary conference on university sport and at the same time also in the new globalized world and is one of the most important drivers of the new European Framework Programme (Horizon 2020). Innovation is perceived as the key to promote economic development, to create new jobs, to improve the quality of life of citizens, to support more transparent and effective forms of government and administration. The main theme will be addressed from three different perspectives: Research, Education and Market & Careers.
