Welcome ESC volunteers 2021-22

European University Sports Association (EUSA) with its Institute welcomes two international European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers into the office, joining the team in Ljubljana for the 2021-2022 period.

The EUSA staff is pleased to have been joined by Ms Anouk Renaud from France and Ms Aleksandra Andreeva from Russia who will learn, assist and experience the daily EUSA activities in the EUSA Office. Here is a short introduction about our new volunteers:

Anouk Renaud

Anouk Renaud

Anouk just graduated from the University of Montpellier with a Master's degree in International Projects Negotiation. Previously she was an intern in international business development and she use to volunteer for the Montpellier Wheelchair Rugby Club.

Anouk

Driven by her will to learn more about the sports industry in a multicultural environment, she chose to join the EUSA family. She practiced a wide range of sports from judo, horse riding, cross fit, boxing to dance. Her next challenge will probably be to learn skiing during winter in Slovenia.
Her sending organisation is CIDJ (Youth Information and Documentation Centre) from Paris, France.

Aleksandra Andreeva

Aleksandra Andreeva

Aleksandra hails from Krasnoyarsk, Russia. She has graduated from the Siberian Federal University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Foreign Policy.
She has been passionate about sports from a very young age. In her background is more than 17 years of sports, such kinds as artistic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, and cheerleading.

Aleksandra

Over the last 4 years, she has volunteered at various sports events, such as 29th World Winter Universiade 2019, World Bandy Championship 2019, Student Hockey Challenge 2018, FIS Junior World Champs 2021 and also due to the chosen specialization, Aleksandra participated in few international economic forums. Her sending organization is INTERRA from Krasnoyarsk, Russia.

ESC on-arrival training in November

Anouk joined the EUSA team end of September and took part in the on-arrival training between November 8 and 12 in Strunjan, while Aleksandra joined us in-person now in November, while previously working remotely. They will stay with EUSA until end of August, contributing also to the European Universities Games in Lodz 2022.

Training activities

EUSA Institute is an accredited organisation for the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), previously the European Commission's European Voluntary Service (EVS), financed by the European Union. In Slovenia, the programme is coordinated by the National Agency Movit.
