Volunteering opportunities with EUSA in 2025

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the EUSA Institute are excited to announce volunteering opportunities for 2025.
We are offering long-term volunteering positions (1 year) at the EUSA Office, as well as short-term opportunities (7-10 days) during the European Universities Championships held across Europe.
The application deadline for the next round of volunteering projects under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), which is the successor of the European Voluntary Service (EVS), is February 20, 2025.
The upcoming term for long-term service at EUSA will run from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.
Volunteering support in the EU has a long-standing tradition, providing young people with a unique opportunity to demonstrate their commitment through voluntary activities.
This initiative aims to foster solidarity, mutual understanding, and tolerance among young people, thereby contributing to social cohesion in the European Union and promoting active citizenship among youth.
The European Solidarity Corps brings together young individuals to help build a more inclusive society, support vulnerable populations, and address societal challenges. This opportunity is open to young people, particularly university students and graduates aged 18-30 who have an interest in sports or university sports, have some prior volunteering experience, and are motivated to work both individually and in teams.
We seek flexible and open-minded individuals; three volunteers will be selected for this project, with an emphasis on achieving gender balance and geographic diversity.
Aside from benefiting local communities and organizations, young volunteers can develop new skills through their involvement in voluntary activities, enhancing their personal, educational, and professional development.
Volunteers will receive specific training throughout their service and will agree on their expected learning outcomes, processes, and methods in advance.
Participants will be provided with board and lodging, insurance coverage, and a small allowance for the duration of the project.
The success of the ESC project relies on close cooperation among three key players: the supporting (sending) organization in the volunteer's country, the hosting organization (EUSA), and the volunteers themselves.
Please note that participating in the ESC does not equate to a free vacation; it is an internship focused on learning experiences, personal growth, and enhancing youth employability.

In addition to the long-term ESC volunteering opportunity, EUSA also offers short-term volunteering roles during the 2024 European Universities Games. EUSA, in collaboration with its Student Commission (EUSA STC) and local Organizing Committees, invites students to actively participate as volunteers in EUSA sports events.
The main goal of this program is to provide young students interested in sports and event organization with a unique adventure, helping them learn about the values of sports while gaining valuable work experience through volunteering.
Here, you can get more information and register; with the same deadlines to apply - February 15 for sports that start in June and July, and March 15 for sports that start in August and September.
Please see the EUSA Volunteer Programme page for more information.
