VolFair project partners meet in Zagreb

Partners of the Erasmus+ funded project Be(ach) Volunteer, Be(ach) Fair! - VolFair, were able to meet in person for the first time in Zagreb, Croatia, for a two-day meeting on August 19-20.

The meeting was held during Jarun Cup 2021 Beach Handball tournament, led by project co-ordinator Beach Handball Club Zagreb (CRO). Partners in the two-year project include the University Sports Association of Poland (POL), Camelot Beach Handball Tournament (NED) and the EUSA Institute (SLO).

VolFair focuses on volunteers, with the project aiming to exchange knowledge about volunteering systems and improving volunteer policies by using the benefits of beach handball, with fair play as the main sport's rule, as a model during the organisation of sport events.

The EUSA Institute’s vast experience in working with numerous volunteers across several sporting events will be most useful in the project, which will look to collect data and conduct surveys with volunteers on their experiences, before setting the guidelines related to volunteers’ management that will provide a framework for all future sport events, particularly in Beach Handball competitions.
