Virtual FISU America Forum 2020
FISU America, University Sports Federation of Costa Rica and the Costa Rica Institute of Technology hosted the Virtual Forum of FISU America between November 16 and 18, 2020.
The III FISU America Forum on university sports served as a communication platform for university community across the continent, and also offer sharing experiences from overseas. Almost 500 participants took part in the event.
Man topic was healthy campus, and topics discussed were physical and mental health, leadership and sports volunteering, social cooperation and life skills, dual career and gender equality. The online forum participants had a chance to listen to diverse array of speakers, from university, institutional, sports and governmental sector.
After the opening ceremony, the first virtual courses were given with the participation of 1st Vice-President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), President of FISU America Mr Alim Maluf Neto and Sports Minister of Costa Rica Mr Hernan Solano Venegas, addressing the importance of university sports for the sustainable development of the country.
In the programme, also other continental university sports governing bodies presented their experiences. EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek shared the activities of the European University Sports Association and took part in the panel debate.
