International Performance Manager, Mr Marc Forrest said: “It has been an outstanding year for the international university programme, and we are obviously delighted by the representation for the upcoming European University Championships. I am looking forward to following the performances of our talented student-athletes across the summer and working with members, students, clubs, presidents, and committees leading into next season in preparation for the multi-sport EUSA Games 2024. In addition, a huge thank you must go to Aleksandra, Matjaž, Miha, the European Universities Sports Association and the Organising Committees.”
EUSA Secretary General, Mr Matjaž Pečovnik said: “We are extremely happy to see that over 300 representatives from the United Kingdom will participate across this year’s championships. Congratulations to BUCS who has, after sending one of the biggest delegations to EUSA Games 2022, again assured record participation of universities and students at an EUSA event. BUCS remains one of the strongest EUSA national member federations for the participation and success of your students and universities at EUSA Championships and Games. I congratulate BUCS and all the people behind the scenes who have made it possible. I wish all the students and university teams’ great success and memorable experiences at this year’s events. I hope that we meet again in such a great number at the EUSA Games 2024 in Hungary.”
