Top photos of 2020 #MyEusa Photo Competition selected
The best photos of the 2020 #MyEusa Photo Competition have been selected, with the authors of the top 10 photo submissions receiving a special prize.
This year, the traditional EUSA photo competition and the #MyEUSA campaign took a different approach, considering there were no official EUSA sporting competitions held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual #MyEusa Photo Competition was however still held: linking it with the #BeActive and #LetsIDUS campaigns, EUSA encouraged people to take photos of themselves participating in their desired sport or physical activity while training, either at home, outdoors or at their designated training grounds.
With Coronavirus protocols varying in different countries, EUSA through this competition aimed to encourage participants to remain active and motivated despite the lack of university sport competitions, yet doing so while abiding by the laws stipulated in their residing country, ensuring that their training and physical activity was safe, secure and in line with local and national health and hygiene recommendations.
The aim was to create a united front amid the pandemic, with each participant’s training pictures adding motivation to the preparations for next year’s European Universities Games, which looks set to be one of the biggest in EUSA’s history. The challenge and competition ran from mid-July until the end of September, following which internal voting and selection took place. No single winner was selected, with commemorative prizes awarded to the top 10 entries.
EUSA would like to thank all the participants, and encourages everyone to remain active, in a safe way, also and especially in these times!
