Flags of the participating countries

Over 10.000 participants have already been registered, coming from 152 countries, and this number continues to grow. While some countries only have a few participants, some countries have big delegations, with over 500 participants per country.

The competitions in the 24 sports offered at this year’s universiade, have already started. The level of competition is very high, so the audience is able to enjoy quality athletes’ performance.

European university sports associations, EUSA member federations, are also present in Shenzhen. Out of the 43 member associations, only two countries are not present at the Summer Games.

This is already the third Universiade held in China; previous ones were in 2001 (Summer) in Beijing and in 2009 (Winter) in Harbin; and the organisers are not disappointing the participants.
