The inauguration of the new headquarters for the Organising Committee of the 2009 Summer Universiade was held on October 28, 2006 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Present at the inauguration as well were the EUSA President Alberto Gualtieri and Secretary-General Matjaz Pecovnik and FISU General Director Eric Saintrond.

The new headquarters is a prestigious Villa, which served once as the residence of a president of former Yugoslavia. The building has been refurbished to welcome the OC of Belgrade 2009 and has been equipped with the latest technology, thanks to Siemens, to provide the best working conditions for the OC Staff.

Sinisa Jasnic, President of the University Sports Federation of Serbia, officially opened the house by raising the FISU flag.
