14th edition of the International Rowing Regatta "Sv. Duje" was held in Split on May 9 and 10, 2015. The event was also attended by the President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), Mr Adam Roczek.

He was received by the Mayor Mr Ivo Baldasar and representatives of the City Council of the city of Split.



Mr Roczek also visited the campus of the University of Split, where the highest representatives of the University with the Rector Mr Simon Andelinovic and Vice-Rectors discussed the prospects of development of university sport in Split.



EUSA President also honoured the participants of the University Regatta by addressing them at the opening ceremony and the awarding ceremony, where he presented the trophy to the winning team - University of Oxford.



Eleventh consecutive rematch of the most famous and oldest world rowing regatta - The Boat Race - was organized as part of the university eights race, which took place on the regatta course on May 9. Besides the famous rivals Oxford and Cambridge, also a number of other famous European rowing universities took part, such as the Dutch Leiden, the German Aachen, the Polish Wroclaw, Hungarian Budapest and rowers from the region, and of course the host - the University of Split.



Rowing weekend in Split ended with a landslide victory of the University of Oxford. Beside the male's team, also the women's team from the same university won the university eights race in female category. The male and female Oxford celebrated the absolute victory, second-placed was the University of Cambridge and third places went to the University of Hamburg in the women's and the University of Zagreb in the men's competition.



International Rowing Regatta St. Duje took place within the celebration of the City of Split, and was also an opportunity for the promotion of the European Universities Games 2016.
