EUSA Technical Delegate Mr Joerg Foerster visited the University of Camerino, host of the 2015 European Universities Volleyball Championship, to check facilities and preparations of the event from technical point of view.

After a welcome meeting with the Rector of the University of Camerino, prof. dr. Flavio Corradini, Mr. Foerster had the chance to meet the representatives of the different working groups.

Working groups presented themselves, their actual workload and the proposals for technical and organizational requirements during the tournament in July 2015 in the University Senat hall, built in the 14th century.



EUSA Technical Delegate Mr Foerster answered several questions to the different issues and pointed out, that his main goal is, to help the organizing committee to realize the second time after 2008 a successful championship. For himself it will be as well the second tournament in Camerino, because in 2008 he participated with the female team of Hamburg University in the championship.

A welcome dinner in a local restaurant in the medieval center of the city closed the first day in a communicative atmosphere. The second day was filled with the visit of all facilities, which will be used during the EUC from 19th to 26th of July 2015. EUSA Technical Delegate explained technical requirements and emphasized the OC to improve some arrangements. Teams will also have the opportunity to use the university fitness club and the public pool as an additional service for free.



At the evening OC organized a visit at the top match of Italian Volleyball premier league Perugia versus Lube Maccerata, the team which is seriously supported by the University of Camerino. At this occasion EUSA TD Joerg Foerster took the chance to invite the famous former national player Andrea Lucchetta, who now is working for Italian sports TV company, to the EUC Volleyball in Camerino.
