Successful FISU Young Reporters Programme 2015

During the Summer Universiade in Gwangju the 3rd FISU Young Reporters Programme (YRP) was carried out. The first edition was held in Shenzhen during the 2011 Summer Universiade, and the second one in Kazan in 2013, offering young students reporters and journalists from all around the world the opportunity to get additional theoretical, but even more important practical experience in big multisport events.

Between July 3 and 14, 24 young reporters were trained and being mentored at the world’s second-largest sporting event. The programme was organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in cooperation with the Organising Committee of the 28th Summer Universiade Gwangju 2015. It hosted distinguished speakers from all over the world who shared their experience with the participants. Half of the participants (12) came from the host country – Korea, whereas the other half were selected by FISU through an open call.
