On October 12, 2012, an agreement of strategic cooperation between the Russian Students Sport Union (RSSU) and Russian Union of Rectors (RUR) was signed.

The ceremony was part of the extended meeting of Russian Union of Rectors. The Agreement was signed to expand the areas of cooperation between the parties. This document is one of the most important stages of the cooperation between Russian Students Sport Union and Russian Union of Rectors.

RSSU President Oleg Matytsin expressed gratitude to the Russian Union of Rectors "for contribution to the development of Russian and international students sport and the promotion of culture, education and sports as an important factor of progress in modern society."
