St. Gallen getting ready for EUC 2011

For the first time, the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland will host an European Universities Championship; namely Tennis in 2011. St. Gallen University is also the headquarters of the Swiss University Sports Federation since 1992.

EUSA EC Member Leonz Eder, head of the University Sports Department in St. Gallen, met with Markus Broennimann, Director of Administration of the University of St. Gallen who strongly supports the event to be hosted in St. Gallen.

 

It is a very good opportunity for our students to meet with Student Tennis players from all over Europe, Markus Broennimann said, and the University of St. Gallen is very proud to support this prestigious event.

Daniel Studer, University sports teacher and tournament director, has already signed the contracts with two tennis centers and three hotels in St. Gallen. I will travel to Coimbra, Portugal, this July, in order to get some impressions how the EUC Tennis 2010 will be organised, Dani Studer said.
