SSAM elects new President
Mr Zoran Medenica has been elected as the new President of the Student Sports Association of Montenegro (SSAM), taking charge of the association for the next four-year period.
Following the resignation of Ms Ivica Todorovic for personal reasons, elections for the new president were held at the SSAM assembly, which took place at the University Sports and Cultural Centre in Podgorica on December 3.
After tallying the votes, Mr Zoran Medenica was announced as the new SSAM President, a position he will hold for a four-year tenure.
Following the announcement, Mr Medenica revealed his joy with the decision, and his intention to continue the progression of the SSAM in future.
“I am extremely pleased to have received the trust of the delegates of the Assembly of the Student Sports Federation of Montenegro,” he said. “I see it as a support for my work in the Alliance so far, but also an obligation to contribute to even better results with an even more significant engagement in the coming period.”
Montenegro has been an official EUSA member since 2006, and has hosted various EUSA events including six European Universities Championships, the last being the successful 2019 European Universities Tennis Championship.
EUSA congratulates Mr Medenica on his appointment and wishes SSAM well in all their future endeavours.
