On October 16, 2024, during the Sports Students' Union of Ukraine (SSUU) General Assembly, the elections of the new President, took place. 

Due to the sudden passing away of Mr Yevgeny Imas in June this year, who for many years worked diligently and effectively for the development of student sports in Ukraine, an extraordinary electoral assembly of the Sports Students' Union of Ukraine was held.

At the General Assembly, Mr Andrii Vitrenko, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, was elected as the new head of the organization that drives student sports in Ukraine. His candidacy was supported by unanimous decision.

Mr Vitrenko works in the development of youth and student sports in Ukraine and has contributed a lot to the possibility of Ukranian students participating in the top-level international sports students' events. 

We sincerely congratulate and wish Mr Vitrenko fruitful work in this new role.
