SHARE 2.0 initiative kicks off

SHARE 2.0 initiative kicks off

Today, the kickoff of the European Commission's SHARE 2.0 initiative was held online.

The new initiative builds on the results of the SHARE initiative (2018-2023), and will focus on strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange on key stakeholders in the field of sport on the topics of funding, health, innovation, green sport and sustainability.

Meeting agenda

The initiative offers Communities of practice, where the stakeholders will be able to contribute, share their good practice, identify needs and actions, work towards finding solutions and prepare recommendations. The mandates of individual Communities of Practice were presented by representatives of the Sport Unit of the European Commission, DG EAC, setting initial key priorities during the meeting, also highlighting the general time-frame and roadmaps.

SHARE 2.0 activities

The SHARE 2.0 communities of practice are open to (among others) public authorities, grassroots sports organisations, federations, non-governmental organisations, policy experts, practitioners interested in developing sport at local, regional, national or European level. European University Sports Association (EUSA) and its institute are also part of the initiative, and were represented at the online meeting by Andrej Pisl, its Projects and Policy Manager.

Roadmaps of individual Communities of Practice were presented
