September EUSA working meetings in Ljubljana

Although September is not over yet, it has been very active for the European University Sports Association (EUSA), also regarding the working meetings at the EUSA Office in Ljubljana.

EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek visited the EUSA Office between September 20 and 22, meeting Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General, and other EUSA staff members. Main points of discussion were the topics connected to the upcoming EUSA Convention and the Executive Committee meeting in November, as well as arrangements regarding the EUSA Institute.

Presidents of EUSA and Olympic Committee of Slovenia

EUSA President and Secretary General also met with the President of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia Mr Bogdan Gabrovec, discussing university sport in general, importance of projects like the European Week of Sport, International Day of University Sport and others, exploring possibilities of improving cooperation between university sport and Olympic movement. The participants also had a chance to visit the Olympic Museum.

EUSA Office welcomed Mr Le Lostecque

EUSA Office was also visited by the Head of the Sport Unit of the European Commission Mr Yves Le Lostecque on September 17. He was welcomed by Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Secretary General and Mr Andrej Pisl, EUSA Projects and Communications Manager. Main focus of the discussion was the EUSA’s cooperation and contribution on EU level, the importance of active partnership of EUSA within the #beactive campaign and the European Week of Sport. Mr Le Lostecque also commended EUSA on signing the declaration on good governance, recently launched by Commissioner Navracsics.
