SELL Games coming to Lithuania

XXVII SELL student’s games will be held in Kaunas (Lithuania), the second largest city of Lithuania between May 12 and 15, 2011. The Games are organised by the Lithuanian Students Sports Association (LSSA), under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, International University Sports Federation (FISU) and European University Sports Association (EUSA).

The program of the games will include the following sport events: athletics, basketball, orienteering, table tennis, swimming, judo, volleyball, mini-football, power lifting, wrestling (Greco-roman style). 12 countries have already expressed interest in participating at the 27th SELL games: Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, England, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Switzerland and Ukraine, with more than 1700 participants already registered from 56 universities.

Swimming at SELL Games 2007

During the Games an Intercontinental student’s sports conference will be organised on May 12, to which the President of FISU and all Presidents of five continental’s student’s sports associations have been invited. At the occasion of the conference, Mr. Alberto Gualtieri, EUSA President will receive the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education, where Mr George E. Killian also got conferred in 2007.
