SELL Games 2011 Concluded
The 27th edition of the SELL Games, held under EUSA Patronage, officially concluded on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The games were organised by the Lithuanian Students Sports Association (LSSA) and attracted 1800 student’s athletes from twelve countries. The students competed in 10 sports: Athletics, Basketball, Orienteering, Table Tennis, Swimming, Judo, Volleyball, Futsal, Powerlifting and Wrestling (Greco-Roman style).
The SELL Games, which are organised by Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, welcome each year a higher number of teams coming from all over Europe and sometimes also from overseas.
On the invitation of Mr Ceslovas Garbaliauskas, President of the Lithuanian Student Sport Association, a large number of FISU and EUSA officials were also present in Kaunas. The presence of the EUSA President, Mr Alberto Gualtieri, together with FISU President Mr George E. Killian and presidents of Continental University Sports Federations from Africa and America, Mr Ralethe Malumbete and Mr Julio Jakob, gave a significant mark to the event.
