On May 12-15, 2011 XXVII SELL student Games - Kaunas Student Games 2011 will be held in Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. It is our pleasure to invite the delegation of your university to participate.

The program of the games will include the following sport events: athletics, basketball, orienteering, table tennis, swimming, judo, volleyball, mini-football, powerlifting, wrestling (Greco-roman style). The honorary patron of SELL Student Games 2011 are Dalia Grybauskaite, the President of the Republic of Lithuania and EUSA, European University Sport Association.

 

With more than 1500 expected participants, Opening Ceremony on the evening of the first competition day - May 13, cultural programme and parties after competitions, the SELL Games are  like a small Summer Universiade of the Baltic region. The especially designed medals and diplomas will be awarded to the winners, there will be a Mascot at the games with the name Giliukas. Delegations of universites all over the world are expected to participate.

The participation fee upon registration before April 10, 2011 (inlc.) is 25 EUR per day per person (for SELL countries) and 30 EUR per day per person for all others. The participation fee includes catering 3 times a day and participation in sports and social events. Extra 5 EUR will be charged for floor lodging in personal sleeping bags and matresses. All participants must have the appropriate insurance to cover travel and participation, as they are not the responsibility of the Ogranizing Committee. The Organizing Committee will insure the first aid at the competition venues for all the accredited persons.
