Registration opens for the Women in Sport & Exercise conference
The 2021 Women in Sport & Exercise (WISE) conference, entitled "Redressing the Balance" will be held online between April 19 and 22, 2021, and the registrations to participate at the event, free of charge, opened today.
Having an international focus, the event aims to bring together practitioners and academics from range of disciplines to allow discussion and debate issues surrounding women’s participation in sport, exercise and physical activity. The purpose of the conference is to raise awareness and address inequalities from both an academic and practitioners point of view, as well as share areas of good practice.
This conference is the third annual conference of the Women in Sport and Exercise Academic Network (WiSEAN), accompanied by the virtual sessions on the last day on the Gender Equity Toolkit for Generation Z - GETZ project, which aims to educate Generation Z in issues of equity in sport with the aim of increasing the number of women and girls in all forms of sport leadership and management.
EUSA Institute is a proud partner in the GETZ project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ project of the European Union, and we invite you to register for the event, learn more about gender equality and equity in sport and contribute towards improving gender-balance in sports.
Please see www.getzproject.eu for more information about the GETZ project, and visit www.worcester.ac.uk/WISE2021 to register for the conference; the registrations close on April 15!
