Registered for the EUSA Games 2014?
March 15 is the final deadline and the last chance to register the teams for the European Universities Games 2014. The National University Sports Associations may register the university teams from Europe by submitting the General Entry and paying the deposit.
The Games in Rotterdam will be held between July 24 and August 8 and will offer competitions in 10 sports (Badminton, Basketball, Football, Futsal, Handball, Rowing, Rugby 7's, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball). Besides the sports also a rich cultural, educational and social programme will be organised.
Rotterdam, the City of Sports, and the home of the Erasmus University, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in the academic year 2013-14 will host the largest European multi-sports event for students this year. More than 270 teams from more than 30 European countries will represent over 150 universities, with the expected number of 3000 participants will take part in the 2nd European Universities Games. The event will be organized by the Foundation 2nd European Universities Games Rotterdam 2014, together with its main partners Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Dutch Students Sports Federation, European University Sports Association (EUSA), the Municipality of Rotterdam and Rotterdam Topsport.
The event will feature competitions for men and women in 10 sports: Badminton, Basketball, Football, Futsal, Handball, Rowing, Rugby 7's, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. Apart from sports, important topics like gender equality, LGBT inclusion, disability, dual careers etc. will be addressed and discussed in the form of seminars and workshops.
As it is not possible to increase the number of places and due to the high interest already demonstrated, we urge all interested parties that the registrations and deposits are made as soon as possible, within the deadline.
