Record Entries for EUC Rowing
Entries for the 2010 European Universities Rowing Championship to be held on the Bosbaan in Amsterdam have again reached record levels with 153 crews entered to compete in the 6th EUSA Rowing Championships.
An entry from 13 nations representing a record 71 universities in 467 racing seats represents further growth in this traditional university-sport and again makes Rowing the largest EUSA Championship of the year. A very large contingent from the United Kingdom will be looking to regain the BUR EUSA Salver, the overall nations prize last held by them in 2007, from the defending Champions Poland but will also face strong competition from large German, French and Dutch contingents.
Racing at the Bosbaan event runs from Friday August 20th, with the Finals scheduled in two blocks of racing on Sunday August 22nd. Entry to the scenic Bosbaan course for this event is free, with excellent spectator-points and a full-course cycle-path for coaches and supporters to follow their crews.
