The International University Sports Federation (FISU) selected and announced the recipients of the FISU Scholarship, legacy of the 2003 Daegu Universiade, for the academic year 2014-15.

Out of the candidates, submitted by the national and endorsed by the continental university sports organisations, FISU Executive Committee chose at its meeting in October in Gwangju the following candidates as the scholarship recipients:
- Joshua Cheptegei (sport: cross-country), Uganda; endorsed by the African University Sports Federation (FASU)
- Natalie Good (sport: snowboarding), New Zealand; endorsed by the Oceania University Sports Association (OUSA)
- Annabel Vose (sport: sailing), United Kingdom; endorsed by the European University Sports Association (EUSA)
