Preparations for the European Universities Games Belgrade 2020 are underway and a large promotional event was held at the Home of Youth (Dom Omladine) in Belgrade on Monday 5th of March. Serbian Minister of Youth and Sport Mr Vanja Udovičić hopes that Serbia will be good hosts and that their athletes will win many medals.

The conference included a rich musical programme, young athletes from numerous sports associations and it was announced that EUG 2020 in Belgrade will have more than 6000 athletes from more than 40 countries and 500 Universities.

 Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić wishes for a successful European Universities Games, hopes that Serbian athletes will win many medals, but above all to provide the hospitality that Serbia is known for.

"After organizing several major competitions in the past years, this European Universities Games should be the crown of our sport, because the base lies at the University" said Mr Vanja Udovičić.

The promotion was attended by the representatives of football, basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis, badminton, judo, orienteering, rowing, swimming and shooting association, triathlon union, as well as guests from Macedonia, Italy, Belarus and Cyprus.

The European Universities Games will be held from 12 to 25 July 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia.
