PRODUCE project keeps moving forward

Partners of the Erasmus+-funded project PROmoting DUal Career through Education of young journalists (PRODUCE) met for an online on Friday, May 14.

The two-year project, whose activities were restricted due to the current global pandemic, was extended to the end of 2021, allowing the goals of the initiative to be reached.

Partners in the project include AZS Sport club Poznan (POL), SportIndeks (SRB), KK Hrvatski Dragovoljac (CRO), AIPS Europe (MLT) and project coordinators EUSA Institute (SLO).

PRODUCE partners meeting

The main aim of PRODUCE is to create both an educational peer to peer network among young journalists in Europe while simultaneously providing guidelines for active learning, giving non-formal knowledge to budding reporters through practical experience.

While reporters were set to gain experience and training at the European Universities Games in Belgrade in the summer of 2021, the postponement of this event will see reporters gain experience at various events in the partners’ own countries, with an online training workshop organised for all participants to mutually benefit.

PRODUCE project goals

Friday’s meeting allowed all partners to receive the latest project updates from the EUSA Institute, discussing the possibilities of facilitating young reporters in their own regions to attend upcoming sports events, while also discussing the virtual workshop, to be held at the end of summer.

Project partners also discussed the project’s final conference, set to take place in Malta in November 2021, where guidelines for young journalists and trainers, to help develop their skills, will be presented.
