On July 14th, 2004, the City of Innsbruck awarded high decorations to eleven honourable personalities. Among them, President of Austrian University Sports Association, Mr. Wolf FrĂĽhauf was decorated with the City of Innsbruck order of merit (Verdienstkreuz). Since the mid 70s, Mr. Wolf FrĂĽhauf, as highest officer on the part of the Ministry of Science and Research, has been in charge of all investments and construction projects of the universities and in particular for the University of Innsbruck. Additionally, together with the City of Innsbruck and the State of Tyrol, he was jointly responsible for the construction of new buildings as well as the modernisation of the University Sports Centre. As the President of the Austrian University Sports Federation, since 1996/97, he took the initiative for the Winter Universiade Innsbruck/Seefeld 2005, with the result that Innsbruck/Seefeld was awarded the Winter Universiade 2005. Since that time he has been member of the Organising Committee of the WU 2005 as well as member of the board of directors of the ISOC 2005 GmbH. Mr. FrĂĽhauf is also a member of the EUSA EC.
