On October 21 and 22, the University of Taipei, which is hosting the next FISU Conference together with the organisers of the 29th Summer Universiade, welcomed a two days’ workshop with the purpose of evaluating the progress of the work of the organising committee and to coordinate the actions in the last months of preparation.

Mrs Hsia-Ling Tai, President of the University of Taipei and former Minister of Sport welcomed delegation by the International University Sport Federation (FISU), lead by Mrs Verena Burk, First Assessor and Education Commission Chair.



The FISU World Conference on development through sport will take place August 27-30, 2017 in Taipei City. The main theme is: ‘University Sport: globalizing and universalizing participation’ and the subthemes are Values in Sport; Sports and Healthy life style; Sport for socio economic development and Sport-Friendly campuses.
