The 5th European Universities Table Tennis Championship is almost underway. Everything is ready and set to make this one of the best Universities Championship in Europe. The Organizing Committee has everything planned, from the menus and the transport schedule, to the cultural events, Sports venues and then some more.

Overall, Madeira shall welcome 28 Universities from 8 different European countries. The Organisers prepared an athletes’ guide containing all the vital information about the event. Also, an athletes’ welcome kit is being set up with gifts from the Island and from the local Students Union.



In terms of opening and closing ceremonies, a majestic and cultural place to host these ceremonies has been chosen - the University of Madeira’s Rectory building, an open space with more than 4 centuries of history. The Opening Ceremony is due to happen on July 19th, at 9.00 pm, and the Closing Ceremony is schedule to July 23rd, at 8.00 pm, prior to the final dinner.
