Preparation visit in Salerno for EUSA Convention and EUSA-FISU Seminar 2024
The meeting between the representatives of EUSA, University of Salerno and CUS Salerno, took place in Salerno, Italy on June 20-21, as preparations continue for the highly anticipated EUSA-FISU Seminar and EUSA Convention 2024.
Taking place in Campania region's second-largest city, on the homonymous gulf, EUSA-FISU Seminar and EUSA Convention 2024 will be held simultaneously between October 10th and 13th.
EUSA Convention is intended for organizers of European Universities Championships 2025 and EUSA Technical Delegates, while EUSA-FISU Seminar is intended for Secretaries General and administrators of the national university sports federations.
Present on behalf of EUSA was Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Treasurer Mr Francis Cirianni, and Education and Development Manager Ms Sara Rozman, who met with several local representatives: Vice President of Campania Region Mr Fulvio Bonavitacola; University of Salerno Rector Prof. Vincenzo Loia; University of Salerno General Director Mr Attilio Riggio; University of Salerno Sports Delegate Mr Domenico Apicella; FederCUSI Campania Delegate Mr Felice Lentini, CUS Salerno President Mr Lorenzo Lentini; CUS Salerno Vice-President Mr Dionisio Ferraro; CUS Salerno Secretary General Mr Michele Di Ruocco and other CUS Salerno representatives.
Fruitful discussions were held regarding the various organisational aspects of the event, that will take place in Grand Hotel Salerno and the University of Salerno.
The city of Salerno will host this important event being the next organiser for the EUSA European Universities Games, which will take place in 2026, after this July's 7th edition in Debrecen-Miskolc, Hungary.
