Prague International University Marathon

Within the Prague International Marathon (PIM), organised since 1995, the University Marathon has also been organised since 2010; having its 4th edition in 2013.

 

PIM is nowadays considered one of the top 10 marathons in the world in terms of quality and level of organisation. In 2012, over 65000 people took part in the events related to PIM.

The goal of University Marathon is to promote sport (especially running) amon the students. Any Czech or foreign student has a chance to participate. The event is designed for teams, composed of four runners. The first three members of each team run the 10km distance, and the final distance - 12,5km - is for the captain of the team.

 

The University Marathon is held under the patronage of the Charles University in Prague, Czech University Sports Association (CAUS) and the European University Sports Association (EUSA).
