The European Universities Championship in Handball, will be hosted by the city of Podgorica, Montenegro from 8-14 of July, 2023. 

The inspection visit was done over two days from 5-6 of December, on which EUSA was represented by EUSA Technical Delegate for Handball Ms Päivi Mitrunen and EUSA Sports Manager Mr Miha Zvan.
On behalf of the Organisational Committee, present were Mr Zoran Medenica, President of Students Sports Association of Montenegro, Mr Boris Sekulic, Secretary general of Students Sports Association of Montenegro and Mr Milos Vujosevic, Manager of Students Sports Association of Montenegro.

During the first day of the visit, EUSA and OC representatives had the chance to check out and visit the SKC UCG Sports Hall and Moraca Sports Hall. Fun fact about Moraca Hall is that it was used during the Women's EHF EURO 2022 and will also host the European Universities Championship of Handball in 2023.

The next day, more sports venues were visited, such as Radojica Perovic Sports Hall, Gimnasium Sports Hall as  well as the student dormitory and catering area.Later in the day, the Inspection visit team had a meeting with the representatives of the Handball Federation of Monternegro, Mr Petar Kapisoda President of the Handball Federation of Montenegro and Mr Emir Beslija, Secretary General.

They both stated that the Association will provide logistical support in the organization of the championship, bearing in mind the rich experience it has when it comes to the organization of international competitions, the most significant of which is the recent European national championship.

This will be the first university championship in handball that will be organized in the country, after the organization of universities championships in futsal, karate and tennis in the past. It is expected that 12 teams will participate in the competition in the men's and women's category.

EUSA Technical Delegate and Sports Manager, thanked the OC for the amazing Inspection Visit, congratulating them on the great preparation, while highlighting the good organisation of the event so far and the potential that Podgorica has for hosting this European Universities Championship in Handball.
