Orienteering soon to arrive to EUSA sports events
Orienteering is an adventure sport, where competitors use maps to complete navigational challenges in unfamiliar areas. And it is a newcomer to the European University Sports Association (EUSA). While the first event is yet to be organised, preparations are ongoing.
EUSA Sports Manager Mr Patrik Perosa travelled to Jesenik in Czech Republic on May 22 and 23, 2016. There he met with the EUSA Technical Delegate for Orienteering Mr Dusan Vystavel regarding the preparations of Technical Regulations for the European Universities Orienteering Championship.
The rules need to be confirmed by the EUSA Executive Committee, which will also at the upcoming meeting define the call for the European Universities Championships.
Mr Perosa and Mr Vystavel also attended the European Orienteering Championship in Jesenik and met with the Foot Orienteering Commission Chair at the International Orienteering Federation Mr Aron Less.
