NUSA coordination meeting in Rotterdam
Rotterdam, the hosting city of the European Universities Games 2014, hosted the NUSA coordination meeting on May 28, 2014. The meeting was attended by representatives from 10 countries which will take part in the event.
 
Representatives of the national university sports associations, heads of delegations, met to get informed about the preparations and specifics of the largest student multisport event in Europe, which will take place in Rotterdam this summer between July 24 and August 8.

Welcome addresses by Mr Tamer, Mr Pecovnik and Mr Smit
 
The delegates and guests were welcomed by Mr Kemal Tamer, Executive Committee Member of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Secretary General. On behalf of the hosts Mr Henk Smit, event's tournament director addressed the participants.

Organisers' team
 
He also introduced the team - staff and interns which are involved in running the Games. The mascot of the Games, Roffa, also joined them. The presentation of the event, with focus on specific details regarding transport, accommodation, accreditation, sports programme, social and other activities, ceremonies and other topics followed.

After the presentation, the participants were able to inspect the accommodation and sports facilities, as well as the catering venue. All open questions were addressed in the final meeting that followed.

In the evening, the participants were welcomed also by Mr Daniel Sikkens, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games 2014.
