Nomination for FISU FVLA 2022
Members of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) are now able to start nominating candidates for the 2022 edition of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy (FVLA) which is planned to be held both in an online and onsite format this year.
The FVLA opportunity is open to university students aged between 18-25 years, who showcase a genuine interest and involvement in university sports events and in sport, cultural and social life.
Selected participants from around the world will first take part in an introductory session, which will be held online in June this year, where they will be introduced to the events, activities and leadership of the International University Sports Federation. Thereafter, an onsite gathering is scheduled to take place over a week in September in Kazan, Russian Federation.
The aim of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy is to create a volunteering community around the world that could share the best global practices in volunteer projects in all kinds of sports events. In order to do that, all the values of university sport: excellence, teamwork, innovation, joy of sport and integrity, cooperating with National and Continental University Sports Federations (NUSFs and CUSFs). The programme consist of educational component, practice of sport, culture, sustainability, and FISU alumni programme.
There are also some other FLVA activities throughout the year. Already this year, on January 14, a webinar on the diverse culture of European countries was held online.
FISU member federations can nominate their candidates and submit general and individual forms in the FISU Online Accreditation System (OAS) on the FISU website.
