New volunteers join EUSA team

European University Sports Association (EUSA) with EUSA Institute received four Italian volunteers for a 10-month internship service at our office in Ljubljana, supported by the national civil service in Italy in cooperation with Italian Organisation for Sports Education (OPES).

The volunteers were greeted by EUSA staff, lead by EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik and Communications & Project Manager Mr Andrej Pisl who welcomed them and presented EUSA and the organisation of university sport in Europe to them.

Mr Luca Salmasi, Ms Luciana Grasso, Mr Marco Corsinovi and Ms Matilde Guido joined the EUSA team, and will also be working in other university sport organisations in Slovenia. The volunteers will be supported by Mr Antonio Saccone as an external mentor. Upon arrival they were joined also by Ms Sara Massini, representing OPES.

Visiting the student campus in Ljubljana

The service is carried out as an internship and the volunteers started with training in Rome before their arrival in Ljubljana. The volunteering program is designed for young male and female Italian citizens aged between 18 and 28, who are given the opportunity to work in the non-profit sector in Italy and selected organisations abroad.
