University Sport Federation of Serbia (USSS), with the cooperation of its members from Belgrade and Nis, organised the university finals in volleyball, basketball and futsal events on April 27 in Belgrade.

The finals were held in “Hala Sportova”sports facilities as part of the 3rd Serbian student championships for the academic year 201/2011. The organisation of the event was made with the support of Ministry of Youth and Sport, Ministry of Education, Sport Federation of Serbia and Belgrade Sport and Youth Office.

With over 200 spectators present, the University of Belgrade became the champions in Volleyball Men, Futsal Men and Basketball Women, while the University of Nis got the title of the national champions for Volleyball Women and Basketball Men.

Mr Neboljsa Jovanovic, USSS President USSS and Mr Dragoljub Bojic, USSS Secretary General attended the event and together with the guests – Mr Dragan Atanasov from the Ministry of Youth and Sport, Mr Zoran Trninic from the Ministry of Education, Mr Dragan Sesum from the Sport Federation of Serbia and Mr Aca Kovacevic from the Belgrade Sport & Youth Office – presented the medals and awards.

The winning teams of the championships will represent USSS at the upcoming European Universities Championships in Basketball (in Cordoba, Spain), Volleyball (in Kragujevac, Serbia) and Futsal (Tampere, Finland).
