On January 22, 2010 the City of Karlovac (CRO) organised the Athlete of the Year ceremony. The event celebrated top achievements of athletes and other sports figures for 2009. In the fields of professionals in sport, a special recognition was given to prof. Jadranka Protic.

 

 

Mrs. Protic was the chairwoman of the Organising Committee of the European Universities Bridge Championship that was successfully organised in Croatia last year. She is also a Vice-Chair of the Croatian Universities Sports Federation. For the last couple of years she has also been very active in promoting the university sport in the municipality of Karlovac.
