MLEA presented at NOC Slovenia General Assembly
At the occasion of electoral General Assembly of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, held on December 16 in Ljubljana, the Erasmus+ supported project Micro Learning Entrepreneurship for Athletes (MLEA) was presented to the representatives of the members, athletes and invited guests.
New Head of Athletes career center of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia (OKS) Mr Aljaz Sedej together with Communications and Projects Manager of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the EUSA Institute presented the MLEA project, its characteristics and the resources.
MLEA offers modular curriculum on entrepreneurship, featuring gamification elements and micro-learning methodology. The online entrepreneurship learning course gives is presented in bite-size chunks and gives an insight into business world. The theory is illustrated with practical examples from sports and sports-related business ideas.
OKS delegates, athletes and guests were invited to join the online course when it become available, as well as attend the final conference, which will be held in Zagreb in March 2023.
OKS Assembly otherwise reviewed the reports and achievements for the past period, discussed and confirmed the draft work plan for upcoming period. One of the biggest projects for next year will be the organisation of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), to be hosted in July 2023 in Maribor. The delegates elected a new President - Mr Franjo Bobinac, who will lead the national Olympic Committee for the next 4-year period. Mr Bobinac is the 3rd president of the organisation, which was established in 1991, with the independence of Slovenia.
EUSA is an official partner of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), cooperates with several national Olympic Committees in several countries, especially in Slovenia, where the office and EUSA Institute are located.
