Briefly describe how and why you got involved in Tennis?
I have started playing tennis at a young age, I was around six year old. I've got involved in this sport because of my father. It was a family sport, as my two years older brother also played.
"It was an amazing experience! It was great to have all those students from different countries playing in out city and club."
What do you study? How do you balance your study, training and competitions?
I'm studying at Faculty of Scienes for Physical Activity and Sport at the Camilo Jose Cela University in Madrid. My university helps me a lot to combine all the activities, so it makes it easier to balance sport and studies.
Tell us about your experience at the 2017 European Championship of Universities. Is this your first time at an EUSA event?
It was an amazing experience! It was great to have all those students from different countries playing in our city and club. It was even more rewarding to win the tournament in our country. It is not my first EUSA event, as last year I've also been in Croatia at European University Games.
"(...) it is great that we have this kind of big competition."
In 2018 will be held the European University Games 2018 in Coimbra, Portugal, do you expect to be there? Why do you think sports events are important?
Yes, I hope I will be there, defending the title. It is important, because as a university students who dedicate time and energy to study and do sports at the same time, it is great that we have this kind of big competition.
This is your chance! What is your message to European students like you?
If you have an opportunity to compete in European University Championships, do not waste it!
EUSA would like to congtratulate Pablo and the rest of the Camilo José Cela University team on their gold medal performance in Madrid. We hope to see you compete at European Universities Games Coimbra 2018!
