Within EUSA Insider format, we are presenting the "Winn'Her, Mind Over Matter," an individual project, by Milia Molinie, ESC Volunteer from France.
This project is an interview series that delves into mental health among female athletes, sharing inspiring stories and powerful portraits.
In the lead-up to the EUSA Championships 2025, the aim is to inspire and encourage reflection among the student-athletes who will be competing. Through powerful anecdotes, valuable tools, and insightful perspectives shared by the athletes themselves, Milia hopes to ignite a sense of purpose and determination
For this inaugural episode, Milia had the honor of interviewing Slovenian professional boxer Ema Kozin, WBO and WBC champion, and a student at the University of Ljubljana.
The mental side of boxing is everything, and even more so for student-athletes. Research shows that female student-athletes face some serious mental health challenges, with a few extra hurdles that make them more vulnerable. Ema Kozin didn’t hold back and dove right into the Winn'Her box to reveal her daily routine, share where she draws her motivation from, and even talk about what it feels like to deliver a knockout—both in the ring and in life
The European University Sports Association is supporting the “Winn’HER: Mind over Matter” project.
