100 days before the start of the Opening ceremony of the European Universities Games 2014, the organisers announced the name of the official mascot of the Event.

Facebook users through a public voting helped to name the mascot. The cute and friendly lion has been named Roffa, and you will be able to meet him in Rotterdam this summer!

The European Universities Games are the largest European multisport student event, licensed by the European University Sport Association (EUSA). 

The best students athletes from all over Europe will gather in Rotterdam between July 24 and August 8, 2014, to compete, socialise, learn and enjoy university sport in its broadest sense. Sports featured in Rotterdam are badminton, basketball, football, futsal, handball, rowing, rugby 7's, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.

The EUGames 2014 also mark the closing centennial celebrations of  the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
