On February 9, 2010 Mr. Ceslovas Garbaliauskas, president of Lithuanian students’ sports association (LSSA) held a meeting with Mr. Tong Mingtao, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Lithuania.

LSSA has a long-term friendship with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Lithuania. The Embassy supported SELL student games in 2003 and 2007, festival “Sport for all” and others. With all that support these games assumed a great international recognition.

Mr. Garbaliauskas and Mr. Mingtao discussed the past and future cooperation. The main discussion was about the Embassy assisting Lithuanian students’ sports delegation taking part in XXVI Summer Universiade in 2011, Shenzhen. Mr. Mingtao also promised to try finding sponsors from China to continue the support of the Lithuanian students’ sports association for SELL students games in 2011.
