Limited late registration opportunity to join the EUG2022
Following the EUSA Executive Committee, which was held this past weekend, we would like to share some important information regarding the registration and participation at the European Universities Games Lodz 2022.
In order to complete and optimise the playing systems, we would like to invite you to take advantage of the open spots in some sports. We have one (1) place remaining in the following categories:
Badminton (Mixed Team)
Basketball (Women)
Beach Handball (Men and Women)
Beach Volleyball (Men)
Futsal (Women)
Table Tennis (Women)
Water Polo (Men)
For the following sports/categories, we will try to accommodate more teams which will register and pay the General Entry Deposit before the extended registration closes:
General Coordination
Chess (Men and Women)
Para Table Tennis (Individual entries possible)
Sport Climbing (Mixed Team)
We encourage National University Sports Associations and teams who are registered, but the General Entry Deposit has not been paid yet, to take advantage of this opportunity, and pay the deposit as quickly as possible (no later than May 5), to ensure their spot in these sports. For such existing entries, as well as any new entries, the principle of first-pay, first-play will be honoured.
Based on the low registration numbers and in order to ensure fair competition, EUSA Executive Committee, on the proposal of the Organising Committee, decided to cancel Muaythai from the list of sports of the European Universities Games Lodz 2022.
Registration for all other sports categories remains closed, as we have reached the capacity limits. Teams with paid general entry deposits who were not confirmed, have been placed on the waiting list. If they are not able to take part in the event, they will receive full refund of the paid General Entry fees. The refunds will be processed after the event. Please note that all confirmed teams are required to submit the Quantitative Entry Forms by May 5 (extended deadline).
We invite again and encourage representatives of the National University Sports Associations to register for the NUSA Coordination (HOD) visit on May 16-19. Registration is open until April 30. The event will be a great opportunity to see the facilities, get to know the practical arrangements and plans, covering Sport, Transport, Accommodation, Medical services (including Covid Protocol), Security and other key areas. Please see the Meeting Agenda and Registration Form for more details.
Last, but not least, please also note that the registration for the Rectors' Conference is open (until June 15). Heads of European universities are invited to take part in this event, which will be held from July 15 to July 17 at Lodz University of Technology. It will be focused on the common thread between sport and technology, as well as on how to develop, fund and support University sport. It will be a perfect opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences and examples of good practice. For more information, please see the EUG2022 website.
