This year, the 10th edition of the Turkish University Sports Games which has been held under the name of Türkiye Koçfest University Sports Games since 2009, was realized in the city of Adana with the contribution of Çukurova University in Adana by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TUSF) between 5-12 May 2013.

From 87 different universities, a total of 2362 athletes and 735 officials took part in the Games in 10 different sports: athletics, basketball, football, volleyball, handball, gymnastics, swimming, water-polo, sport climbing and speedminton as a very new sport in the games and also for Turkey.

 

The Games were realized in a festival atmosphere, accompanied with the cultural and art activities. In addition to these activities, the most famous rock groups in gave a concert during the event, creating memorable moments for the participants.

 

The opening ceremony of the Games was magnificent. The campus of Çukurova University was like an athletes’ village in an Olympic Games or Universiades. 

 

The final matches were very exciting and after the final matches the awarding ceremony has been held, the Games were closed until the next edition in May of 2014 in the city of Kayseri.
