Kick-off Meeting of the Education Commission
EUSA Education Commission met in its new composition for the first time on March 25, 2022. Members of the Commission were nominated for the next 4 years. The primary objective of the EUSA Education Commission is to advise and make recommendations to EUSA Office, EUSA Executive Committee and EUSA President on strategic direction of EUSA programmes and activities related to the education through sport.
The Commission is chaired by Mr Milan Zvan (SLO), and has six members, Ms Lovisa Broms (SWE), Ms Romana Caput-Jogunica (CRO), Ms Filipa Godinho (POR), Mr Veaceslav Mangolachi (MDA), Mr Cedric Terret (FRA) and Ms Emilie Zakariassen Hansen (NOR). Ms Sara Rozman (SLO), EUSA Education and Development Manager serves as the Secretary of the Commission.
Following the opening remarks from the Education Commission Chair, Mr Zvan, and the introduction of the Commission members the discussion focused on the Commission's goals for 2022 and 2023 and the goals and activities for the time of the mandate, considering the European Universities Games 2022 in Lodz and the multiple projects funded by the Erasmus+ Programme in which the EUSA Institute takes part and where also the Commission members could contribute. Members of the Commission were introduced with main activities of Education Commission, its goals and future projects. The last part of the meeting gave attention to Members’ initiatives, their ideas and reflection of the work that falls under this Commission.
It is foreseen that the members will have 2 online and one live meeting in 2022.
