Invitation EUC Table Tennis 2011
On behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the Portuguese Academic Federation of University Sport (FADU) and the Organising Committee, we have the pleasure of inviting university teams of your country to participate in the 5th European Universities Table Tennis Championship, which will be organised in Madeira, Portugal between July 19 and 23, 2011.
The deadline for registration has been determined as April 19, 2011.

Madeira is a Portuguese archipelago that lies approximately 900 km southwest of the Portuguese Mainland, in the north Atlantic Ocean. It is an outermost region of the European Union. The archipelago comprises one of the existing two Autonomous regions in Portugal, and it encompasses the island of Madeira, the island of Porto Santo, the isles of Desertas and the isles of Selvagens. Madeira is a popular year-round resort, being visited every year by about one million tourists, noted for its landscapes and embroidery artisans, as well for its celebrations. A large number of sports are practiced in Madeira, both outdoors and indoors, in several facilities available throughout the island. The main professional sports are : football, basketball, surfing, handball, rugby, hiking and fishing. Funchal, founded in 1452, is the largest city and, as such, it is the capital of Madeira. The city has a population of approximately 100000 inhabitants and is home to Madeira’s University.
