On behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the University Sports Association of Poland (AZS) and the Organising Committee, we have the pleasure of inviting university teams of your country to participate in the 2nd European Universities Bridge Championship, which will be organised in Grebiszew near Warsaw, Poland between September 19 and 24, 2011.

 

The deadline for registration has been determined as June 19, 2011.

All relevant information is published on EUSA website www.eusa.eu and on the official website of the event www.eucbridge2011.pl.

City info

Warsaw is the capital and the largest city of Poland. It is located on the Vistula River roughly 260 kilometers from the Baltic Sea and 300 kilometers from the Carpathian Mountains. Warsaw's mixture of architectural styles reflects the turbulent history of the city and country. Warsaw is also known as the "phoenix city", as it recovered from extensive damage during World War II, during which 80% of its buildings were destroyed. Warsaw's historic Old Town was inscribed onto UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1980. Warsaw was named European capital of Sport in 2008. here are many sports centres in the city. The National Stadium, a planned 56,000 seat football stadium, is currently under construction. It is due to host the several matches of the UEFA Euro 2012 hosted jointly by Poland and Ukraine, including the opening one. Warsaw holds some of the finest institutions of higher education in Poland. It is home to four major universities and over 62 smaller schools of higher education.
